PROLOGUE
10 years ago, earth was traversed by a cosmic nebula during 3 days, causing everyone to be sick (High fever, About 1 billion died, weaklings mostly), then in the first 2 years, about 0.1% (720 million) of the humans mutated towards the wild life. Every mutation had at least one trait or feature of either an animal, insect, or fish. Also, wild life mutated as well; animals, insect and fish also had mutations, towards the human spectrum.
In the last 4 years, more and more mutants with Human origins, or Animal origins started showing up more and more in society. Of all those mutants, person or animals, about 1% of those also exhibited special abilities, like super powers.
Government had no choice to start talking about those publicly, although they had already multiple projects in place to study or understand the whole phenomenon, even some animals mutated enough to become intelligent.
The year is now 2051:
Earth population is 72 Billions.
Most large city increased 10x in size between 2025 and 2051.
They became 15 minute cities, mega cities, Wall City, etc. while trying to preserve nature around them and also include it within their structure, or at least, most of them.
About 2 days ago: another nebula crossed the planet for 2 days, killing another few million people.
This time, a large number of those who had mutated, but didn't have special abilities, suddenly developed them, increasing the number of 'supers' considerably.
Immediately after the nebula had passed, chaos started.
More intelligent animals, now with powers, rose against society.
Many mutants with new powers went crazy, or suddenly decided to kill, or maim their enemies, taking the law in their own hands, or simply going on a rampage because they could, or thought they could if their powers made them feel untouchable.
Soon enough, martial law would be the only means to try and regain control of the situation.
